Today, I got to continue my photo archive project at the Tower! I had some unfinished work to do from last week, so I continued to make progress. This step of the project is definitely the most difficult and time-consuming, but that isn’t a bad thing at all! It's a great way to practice my patience and perseverance. I went through all the pre-2020 photos to sort them into new folders. For example, the majority of the photos went into a folder that I previously made called “Artist Assets”. These are all photos of past performances at the Tower. There were multiple photos of specific performances in the pre-2020 folder, so I made subfolders in the "Artists Assets" folder to organize the photos in groups. In addition to performance photos, there were several audience, website, and outdoor event photos. I had no idea that a biking event used to go right by the Tower, but now I do after seeing several pictures of it from years ago! Not only have I learned how to use an archive computer program by doing this project, but I have also learned so much about the Tower’s history.
I realize that this is a short entry, but I do have some exciting news! Next week, I will be shadowing Stephanie Johnson (Event Manager) during the Brian Regan comedic performance on the 22nd. I am excited about this opportunity and am so grateful that Stephanie is allowing me to shadow her. I am eager to learn more about her position during the show and will have a new blog post soon! Have a wonderful holiday weekend :)
